We’re proud to start the New Year with a fresh and informative new website, a new logo, and more passion than ever for preserving the City we love.
We achieved this rebranding with generous help from American Express. We were one of a handful of non-profits selected from a national contest to work with a pro bono marketing team from the company. The talented group spent eight weeks speaking with our staff, learning about our programs, and going over our communication materials. They left us a thick book with specific ways to make our messaging clearer and livelier. We’re working on it! After all, what is more exciting—and vital—than helping to save the best of New York’s remarkable collection of buildings and neighborhoods?
The American Express team then asked if they could enter us in another contest to receive a grant towards rebranding. And we won again!
For the past year, we’ve had the pleasure of working with the exceptional team at SJI Associates who developed our new website and logo and further refined our messaging. We so appreciate their enthusiasm for our mission. The Conservancy is unique in that no other group in New York has our range of financial and technical programs to help preserve buildings, and our advocacy is respected at all levels of government. SJI was able to distill all our efforts into … “Preserving the City we love.”
We’ve had some remarkable successes since we were founded nearly 50 years ago. But fighting to save the cultural heritage of one of the world’s greatest and most dynamic cities has never been an easy task. Preservation remains under periodic attack today. This makes the effective communication of our mission more critical than ever.
New York will always grow and change. But we’re here to preserve buildings that are the heart and soul of New York.
With all good wishes for 2020,
