In April, the Sacred Sites Committee voted to pledge 21 grants to 18 historic houses of worship totaling $287,500. These grants were awarded in 13 counties, from Suffolk County on Long Island to Niagara County in western New York to St. Lawrence County in northern New York. Additionally, staff pledged another $82,000 in consulting grants to fund architectural and project management work at seven New York City congregations.
