The 33rd annual Lucy G. Moses Preservation Awards celebrated the best of preservation in front of a packed audience at St. Bart’s Church.
The awards recognized an impressive group of preservation projects, spanning centuries of City history. They included a reclaimed row house in the Bronx, glorious religious properties, engineering marvels, and beautifully restored facades. Seeing them and hearing from their owners is an excellent reminder of how preservation benefits New York.
We were also delighted to honor Laurie Beckelman for her decades of advocacy and leadership at the Conservancy, the Landmarks Commission, and other organizations; and our former Board Chair, attorney John J. (Jack) Kerr, Jr., who defended preservation in some of the field’s most significant cases and is widely regarded as a national expert in preservation law.
We are pleased to share the ceremony with you.
