The New York Landmarks Conservancy inaugurated the Chairman’s Award in 1988 to recognize exceptional individuals, organizations, and businesses that have demonstrated their dedication to protecting New York’s architectural legacy.

For this Chairman’s Award, the Landmarks Conservancy was pleased to honor:

Rick Cotton, Executive Director for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for the restoration of the former TWA Terminal at JFK Airport. The Port Authority’s work allowed MCR to redevelop the iconic terminal and give it an exciting new use.

Erik Horvat, Managing Director and Head of Real Estate for the Americas of The Olayan Group, for agreeing to designate Philip Johnson’s iconic 550 Madison Avenue and the restorative work on the exterior.

Tyler Morse, MCR for the outstanding restoration of the TWA Terminal at JFK Airport.
