Charlotte Crum manages restoration projects and outreach for the Conservancy’s Historic Properties Fund. Before that, she was a Sacred Sites survey intern, where she researched, visited, and documented over 100 Protestant churches in the Bronx. Charlotte is a graduate of Columbia University’s Historic Preservation program, through which she served as GSAPP’s Student Council Treasurer. She approaches preservation with an interdisciplinary background, as she studied Statistics, Psychology, and Archaeology as an undergraduate at the University of Vermont. Charlotte has also worked in Education at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and contributed to the National Park Service’s Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS).
Favorite Landmark: Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. Its architectural beauty and the vibrancy visitors experience are only possible because of the technical preservation work hidden below the surface. I also enjoy running through Olmstead’s landscaping in Central Park and Prospect Park.
