Sacred Sites Grants Partnership Continues to Grow

We’re pleased that our valued partnership with the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation continues to grow. Thanks to their renewed generosity, the Foundation will underwrite Sacred Sites grants for historic religious properties in Nassau and Suffolk Counties through 2027. With their support, we’ve awarded more than $335,000 in grants across Long Island since 2018—helping preserve the region’s rich architectural and cultural heritage. We are especially grateful to Conservancy Advisory Board Member Bernadette Castro for her instrumental role in fostering this meaningful collaboration.
