Grant from 1772 Foundation Will Assist 13 Restoration Projects

Our Historic Properties Fund received a $100,000 grant from the 1772 Foundation earlier in the year and immediately put it to good use. We have a record 13 projects currently in construction, or in planning, in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens historic districts. The loans for these projects total $3,220,000.

We’re funding a brownstone façade restoration in Fort Greene, new windows with their historic configuration in NoHo, and restoring historic parapets at a landmark co-op in Jackson Heights.

Brownstone facade restoration and wood window restoration at 258 Hancock Street, Bedford Historic District, Brooklyn. $95,000 loan.

The 1772 Foundation plays a leading role in promoting historic preservation revolving loan funds nationwide.
