The New York Landmarks Conservancy inaugurated the Chairman’s Award in 1988 to recognize exceptional individuals, organizations, and businesses that have demonstrated their dedication to protecting New York’s architectural legacy.
About the Honorees
Stanley S. Shuman has led the investment industry while supporting many of the City’s leading cultural and educational organizations and holding national and City civic appointments.
Ian Wardropper, recently retired director of the Frick Collection, led the recent restoration and enhancement of the landmark museum and treated us to the Frick Madison while the main building was under construction.
West New York Restoration has provided high-quality construction services for over 40 years, helping preserve the Metropolitan Club, Grace Church, 720 Park Avenue, and many other landmark buildings.
