As part of the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s 2024 Sacred Sites Open House, take a tour of Most Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church in Astoria, Queens with Carlo Zaskorski, AIA principal at Zaskorski & Associates Architects. Mr. Zaskorski served as architect for the successful envelope restoration at the church, which received a 2023 Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award from the New York Landmarks Conservancy. The art-deco church, completed in 1932, is considered the masterwork of architects McGill and Hamlin.
